Cincinnati-NKY Gawad Kalinga Village Project

Gawad Kalinga (translated literally means to give care or nurture) is the Philippine "version of Habitat for Humanity".  This highly successful program goes further than assisting needy individuals and families acquire a proper roof over their heads;  the program is designed to give success by going to the root and core of the need and providing for sustainability.

Filipinos, Filipino-Americans and friends in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern KY area are coming together to raise funds for a village which consists of about 30 houses.  $1,500 will build a house with one bathroom.   There are some houses up but there is much to be done.  This project was started by Dr. Vic Cervantes.  For info call 513-336-7980.
